Hanyang, Wuhan. Tall apartment blocks rise along the horizon, their rigid forms mirrored in still water alongside a fractured, half-submerged concrete wall. The scene captures the stillness of a "sleeping city" -- vast residential districts built simply for rest, detached from the city's daytime rhythm. Between the submerged pieces of the past and the uniform rows of modern housing, the image reflects on rapid urban change, the loss of older landscapes, and the eerie solitude of modern living together.
